Writers Block, Unblocking
Songwriting, there are so many different ways that songs are created. Sometimes you write them by accident, sometimes your so emotionally involved in something that you can’t help but write, and sometimes you want to write a song so bad that you can’t write one coherent sentence down. The last one is me right now. Lately life has been pretty plan. I can honestly say I haven’t written a full song in about a month. But with summer coming I think new songs might be on the horizon. It may sound cliche, but it is very true that the best songs come out when you least expect it!
Today I went for a short ride down one of my favorite roads. I have gone down this road many times and there are many reasons why I love this road. It is so open and peaceful that it allows me to open my mind and have clear thoughts, even when the fog wrapped around the thoughts is at it’s thickest. The smell of the sea can put me at ease even at my most frustrating times. Sometimes I write when I go to this place and sometimes I just reflect and enjoy the atmosphere. Either way it’s a win win to me. I am sure you all have a place like this to escape to. This is only one of my many getaways. But I can honestly say I’ve written quite a few songs here from my car.
